?? Big News! ?? We're thrilled to announce $6 million in new funding from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which will allow us to fully complete our geothermal heating and cooling project. This project is also made possible by the recent $6 million in Renewable Development Account appropriations from the Minnesota Legislature. Thanks to our bill sponsors, Rep. Athena Hollins and Sen. Tou Xiong, as well as MN House and Senate leadership, including Rep. Patty Acomb and Sen. Nick Frentz, for their support. After years of dedication and collaboration, we'll be saying farewell to our 58-year-old boilers, "Thelma & Louise," and embracing a cleaner, climate-friendly future. ?? Thanks to the team and the many community partners who made this possible. Special thanks to Janet Brown, Project Consultant and Development Support, and to our partners APEX Engineering and the Center for Energy and Environment for their ongoing dedication to this project that will make Sabathani a model of sustainable energy! ???? Big news!?Sabathani Community Center just recently received $6.4M in funding from the State of Minnesota!?This funding will power our innovative Community Energy Project, with $6 million for a district energy geothermal system and $400K for our Workforce Development Training Center. These projects will cut pollution, reduce high energy costs, and create sustainable jobs in the green economy. Huge thanks to Senator Tou Xiong and Representative Athena Hollins, and all our partners for making this possible. We have more work to do to get our geothermal system fully funded, but this is a huge step forward and allows us to phase our new geothermal system. We're excited to keep pushing forward to build a greener, more prosperous future!?
