    We’re excited to announce we’ve raised $125 million to supercharge growth and innovation in #fusionenergy and our transformative high temperature #superconducting (HTS) #magnet technology. Fusion energy is coming, and this investment from new strategic partners alongside existing shareholders will enable us to advance our #fusion pilot plant design programme and to develop, test and validate new fusion technologies using our record-breaking spherical tokamak, ST40. It will also support the rapid growth of TE Magnetics, which is leading the development of HTS magnet technology for fusion and other exciting new applications, including scientific research, #medicine, #renewableenergy, and propulsion on land and in water, air and space. Our CEO, Warrick Matthews, said: “In addition to the ongoing support of our existing shareholders, we are delighted to welcome new strategic investors to collectively accelerate our ambitious plans.     Our recent LP Days and the Free Electrons Open Day were inspiring gatherings for the entire energy transition ecosystem! We were thrilled to have our FEV team Moritz Jungmann, Natalie Milde, Veronique H?rdemann, Patrick Elftmann, Maciej Lehmann, Anna Trendewicz? and Jan Lozek together with LPs and investors participate in such prestige setup.. ?? The energy sector has long been viewed as slow to move and conservative, yet the overwhelming response to this year’s Free Electrons program proves that the future is indeed bright! ???? From monetizing flexible assets with companies like Axle, to advanced home energy management solutions by MOOST, and even creating a "Google Maps of heat loss" with Kestrix, it’s clear that innovation is driving transformation in every corner of the industry. ???? We believe that collaboration is key to accelerating the energy transition. That’s why we hosted a guided museum tour and dinner in Hamburg the day before, as well as an LP strategy session the day after, to deepen connections and foster strategic discussions. ????? The Free Electrons Program plays a vital role in bringing together groundbreaking startups and major utilities to accelerate innovation in the energy space.     We have closed our Seed Financing, led by Azolla Ventures and joined by Propeller, Cisco Foundation, Sabanc? Climate Ventures, Anthropocene Ventures and others. This represents the first equity investment in the company and a huge milestone for us and the industry. You can read more about the round in the Axios article (behind paywall, just need email address). We are so thrilled to find such like-minded investors who are just as motivated as we are in deploying transformational technology to decarbonize the grid. Offshore wind is requirement for a net zero world and we need to build more, faster and at a lower cost, as quickly as possible. We are going to show the world how it can be done with the Aikido One pilot this year. With these funds, we'll be able to develop our next pilot project: the Aikido Two, an offshore, operational pilot, which will demonstrate the entire lifecycle of our technology.
