At SA White, we are lucky to have dedicated team members like Eugene, who brings hard work, a big personality, and an inspiring life story to our family. Eugene, a skilled driver, joined us 10 months ago, and he operates a 4,500-gallon tank wagon with precision and pride. His journey to SA White is as uplifting as it is unique. Born in Chicago, Eugene grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he was raised by his grandmother, lovingly called Mama. She instilled in him a strong sense of responsibility while keeping him busy with sports and activities (basketball, baseball and track!). Later in life, Eugene’s path took him to California, where he worked in transportation for over a decade driving across the U.S. before finally making his way back to the South, where he found his home with us at SA White. Happily married to his wife, Peggy, Eugene’s love story is as beautiful as it is lasting. To honor their bond, Eugene proudly sports a tattoo featuring both their names and the symbol of eternity, a testament to their connection. When asked what he enjoys most about working at SA White, Eugene shared, “When I first came in, Miss Kim and everyone welcomed me like I was family. The small things, like how well they maintain the vehicles so everything is safe to drive, really stand out. You’re treated with respect here, and it means a lot.” One particularly fun fact about Eugene? He shares his birthday, November 15th, with none other than SA White, the founder of our company! Eugene is a jokester at heart, always quick to crack a smile or share a funny story. Whether he’s making someone laugh or rolling up his sleeves to get the job done, Eugene brings warmth, humor, and dedication to our team every single day.
