We are evaluating a request to develop an integration to BACnet for legacy Novar installations. - Part of the effort is a technical evaluation of the required connector. - Part of the effort is doing market research. Is anyone aware of Novar installations that might benefit from this integration? Does anyone have features they would like to see included in this product if development moves forward?

S4IS FAQ - Are S4 Open products still supported? No. For multiple reasons. 1) They were hosted on the Windows CE operating system which Microsoft no longer supports. 2) Advantech discontinued the hardware platform required to support them. 3) The source code is no longer available for these applications. S4IS can answer short questions about existing installations but any more extensive involvement will require a consulting engagement. S4IS FAQ - Can the S4 BACnet N2 Integration synchronize data values between the Metasys supervisory controller, BACnet clients, and the S4IS user interface? The S4 BACnet N2 Integration forces the N2 transactions from legacy Metasys? supervisory controllers (NCM, for instance) to participate in the BACnet priority array mechanism, giving the integrator complete control over which head end is commanding each point. S4IS FAQ - Can the S4IS product handle errors on the N2 bus or failed N2 devices? In buildings with older, and potentially less reliable, N2 devices or compromised N2 buses, the S4 BACnet N2 Integration automatically reinitializes N2 devices when multiple retries of an operation fail; it also logs the number of times that this action is taken to assist in maintaining the N2 bus and devices. S4IS FAQ - Is Metasys? Passthrough supported? The Upstream N2 Interface is a virtualization of the N2 bus and the devices that reside on it. When this interface is no longer required for co-existence with the Metasys? head end it can be utilized to support HVAC Pro and GX-9100, including uploading and downloading devices when the Pass-Through option is selected from the user interface.
