Thank you Khuram Ghumman
Thank you to Dr. Khuram Ghumman (CAFP Immediate Past President) for testifying during the Insurance and Real Estate Committee Public Hearing in opposition to S.B. 10: An Act Concerning Health Insurance & Patient Protection. He is not only representing CAFP and the Connecticut State Medical Society (CSMS), but physicians across Connecticut, especially those in independent practice. His testimony was relevant, meaningful and poignant. Many of the committee members had important questions for Dr. Ghumman and he used the opportunity to explain how STEP therapy, prior authorization and administrative burden is ultimately hurting CT patients.
Spring will be here before we know it! Need some inspiration and to escape the cold? For most, our job is about the relationships. Dr. Brooks was a special one
In this new blog post from the American Academy of Family Physicians, CAFP Executive Vice President, Mark Schuman and CAFP Past President & Current AAFP Board Member, Kathleen Mueller, MD reflect on their fond memories of Dr. Neil Brooks through a piece called, "A Legacy of Leadership: Neil Brooks, MD." As many will recall, Dr. Brooks was a CAFP and AAFP Past President who passed away in November. We miss his wisdom, wit and continued support of Family Medicine in Connecticut and beyond.
S&S is proud to help staff Connecticut Nursery and Landscape Association’s Annual Meeting at the Aqua Turf. The frigid temperatures didn’t stop the over 300 attendees!
