?? How to Create Social Impact with Art: ?? Art has the power to not only reflect society but to transform it. As an artist, my journey has been about using my creativity to raise awareness, shift perspectives, and remind us all of our inherent ability to shape the world. Yet, it's not always clear how creatives can unite social impact with their work, so I’m excited to share my learning journey with you all—highlighting organizations that inspire me, collaborators who've supported co-learning, and everything in-between. ?? Calling all brands and organizations: Let's collaborate to amplify social impact-focused art and drive meaningful change together. If you’re looking to align with an artist dedicated to making a difference, let’s connect and create something powerful! #SocialImpactArt #ArtistJourney #CollaborateForChange #ArtForAwareness #TransformativeArt ?? ryndelpapa.com

As an?Education Program Manager and Creative Art Coach, I have the unique opportunity to lead the?Creative Careers Program, which supports emerging artists and creatives in Third Ward. This program provides mentorship, resources, and professional development to help artists strengthen their practice, build stability in their careers, and, if they choose, work toward self-sufficiency through their art. Creative Careers Program Highlights -1-on-1 Creative Coaching -Artist Mentorship Program?– Pairs emerging artists with experienced professionals, culminating in a creative showcase at PRH -Behind-the-Scenes Access?– Visits to Houston’s leading art institutions -Networking Events?– Connecting artists, creatives, and mentors -Business Skills Workshops?– Equipping artists with essential entrepreneurial tools The Power of Mentorship One of the most transformative aspects of this program is mentorship. The?Artist Mentorship Program?provides a structured six-month opportunity for emerging artists to receive guidance, critiques, and goal-setting support from established artists. This collaboration not only strengthens individual artistic practices but also builds a stronger, more connected creative community. Each mentorship cycle culminates in a showcase at PRH, highlighting the growth and impact of these relationships. Here are some pictures from our most recent?Creative Careers Cohort 6. Their artwork will be on display in the?Community Gallery at Project Row Houses?for the next month. Stop by and experience the incredible work of these talented artists photos taken by Phalyn Honora

My goal is that by the end of tomorrow's workshop - it's an easy immediate answer. So let's see what an hour can do. Deal? “The beauty of a living thing is not the atoms that go into it, but the way those atoms are put together.” Carl Sagan knew the power of physics, science, philosophy, astronomy, and communication. Your brain and each part of you is a beautiful reflection of atoms uniquely defining you. Did I mention that space makes a spotlight in Reframing Neurodiversity to Creativity? Oh well, now you know. *space sparkly brain nerds unite* Sunday, January 5th at 1:00 pm CST: https://lu.ma/rd9a783q #HiddenTruthsProject #CreativeExpression #Neurodiversity #ArtsinHealth #MentalHealth #Creativity

Accessibility without intersectionality denies the diversity within our minds, genetics, communities, and societies. What kind of worlds are you living in? Yes, I said worlds. We can have our internal world, external world, and the spheres and social circles we engage with, which impact the cognitive, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual worlds we inhabit. Let's make our worlds filled with creativity, health, and inclusivity. Start 2025 inviting more of just that into your life, see you on the zooms on Sunday. https://lu.ma/rd9a783q #HiddenTruthsProject #CreativeExpression #Neurodiversity #ArtsinHealth #MentalHealth #Creativity #DEIA

Do you think in pictures, patterns, or abstractions? Then there's a book worth reading, Visual Thinking by Temple Grandin. In the book, she categorizes visual thinkers into two categories: - Object Visualizers generally see in pictures - Spatial Visualizers generally recognize patterns This is a book and person to learn about if you've ever wondered about your own neurodiversity. Book club anyone? There's quite a list of powerful reads worth checking out, including Dr. Stephanie Cawthon's recently released book Disability is Human. We're four days away from Reframing Neurodiversity to Creativity, so I'm just going to drop this here while you go to the bookstore. https://lu.ma/rd9a783q #CreativeExpression #Neurodiversity #ArtsinHealth #MentalHealth #Creativity #DEIA
