Summer is over, and it’s time to ensure your boilers are ready for the colder weather ahead. Today, we are conducting maintenance, inspection, combustion tuning and service on (3) 200 HP S1-GG-200-30W Firebox hot water boilers manufactured by Hurst Boiler & Welding Company, Inc. The boilers are equipped with Power Flame burners model CR5-GG-30 manufactured by Power Flame Incorporated For the boilers, we are performing various tasks such as punching the tubes, checking turbulators, replacing door insulation, and changing out gaskets. Additionally, we are inspecting the low water cutoff operation and replacing the sight glass. Regarding the burners, we are replacing ignition electrodes, reviewing the pilot assembly, inspecting the blast tube, and checking the UV scanner. We are also reviewing the Siemens AZL display and burner control for any faults and ensuring proper operation with the control and the SQM servo motors. Undertaking these maintenance tasks now, when demand is lower, allows for a thorough inspection, tuning, and repair process. It ensures a smoother and less stressful experience for everyone involved.
