In the biggest deal, Guidehouse signed a 10-year lease to relocate from?685 Third Avenue?and occupy 45,125 square feet on the ninth and 10th floors of 75 Rock. RXR was delighted to host PTECH Family Day in the sun-filled atria of RXR Plaza on Saturday, November 16th, for students of the Uniondale, Freeport and Wyandanch School Districts and their parents. RXR serves as the Industry Partner for Uniondale’s NYS P-Tech Grant, which allows selected students from the three consortium districts to earn an associate’s degree from Vaughn College during their 4-year high school career, gaining hands on experience, mentorship, networking and college level coursework in animation and technology along the way! The event also gave students the opportunity to meet with various representatives of private technology companies and community stakeholders.? Yesterday, I joined Andrew Ross Sorkin and the CNBC Squawk Box team?to discuss the current state of commercial real estate in New York City. One topic I raised was the critical role of thoughtful public policy in unlocking the innovation and ingenuity of the private sector. We're seeing this now with New York City’s East Midtown Rezoning program. This program, a model for successful public-private partnerships, has paved the way for some of the City’s newest and most modern office buildings, such as SL Green’s One Vanderbilt and the new JP Morgan Building. And coming soon, RXR and TF Cornerstone’s 175 Park Avenue, which will be the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere when complete. This new skyline-defining project will feature 2.9 million square feet of new office and hotel space, hundreds of millions of dollars in new transit improvements, and 25,000 square feet of new public open space.
