A quick Google search of "Bottled water contains nanoplastics" yields dozens of articles and news videos surrounding the recent groundbreaking study that revealed plastic-shedding is indeed a problem and that people are ingesting more plastic than previously thought. Is anyone truly surprised by this? The bigger question: What are the healthier alternatives to plastics? We know of one solution: PHA. Let's start the conversation about alternatives (PHA) in addition to educating the masses about the problem we've been aware of for a long time but are just coming around to acknowledging. Remember when four out of five doctors preferred Marlboro cigarettes? Yeah, not so long ago. We're facing the same issue with plastics today. We need to change the conversation.
