Bridging the Gap Between Ideas and Implementation RVi recently collaborated with seniors from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas on their Environmental Studies Capstone Project, focusing on preserving and enhancing the EcoLab—a key natural space within SU 560. This 560-acre expansion will shape the future of Southwestern’s campus, blending academic, recreational, and ecological spaces. RVi’s Director of Park Planning & Design, Drew Carman, PLA, who holds an undergraduate degree from a similar environmental studies program, felt right at home helping students refine their ideas within this broader vision. The team worked through real-world considerations like cost, constructability, and feasibility, helping students bridge the gap between concept and reality.
