October is National Community #PlanningMonth! We’re celebrating the creativity, collaboration, and vision that drive the field of #planning and shining a spotlight on one of our key projects: the Town of Windsor, Colorado’s first Downtown Master Plan. In partnership with the Windsor Downtown Alliance (WDA) and the Town of Windsor, this plan will guide the growth and revitalization of Downtown Windsor, balancing economic development and #placemaking with the goal of enhancing quality of life for residents and boosting the health of downtown businesses. The plan establishes a long-term vision that celebrates Downtown’s potential by creating vibrant public spaces, improved mobility, increased safety, and new business opportunities, positioning Downtown Windsor as the cultural and civic heart of the community. Public engagement has been central to this Windsor-specific vision and plan. With visioning complete, the Town and the WDA are moving into phase II to implement solutions by mid-2025.
