This past weekend, I had the privilege of participating in the 2024 TechStart Business Pitch Competition, hosted by Road to Silicon V/Alley (RSVP) x Rutgers Entrepreneurial Society! ?? Our team developed RealFit—a social fitness app designed to connect people through shared workouts, gym-focused content, and a supportive community. It’s been an incredible journey transforming a simple idea into a fully-fledged concept, supported by research, teamwork, and strategic thinking. ?? The competition was an eye-opener. From refining our pitch to fielding tough questions from judges, I learned the importance of presenting with clarity and confidence while staying adaptable under pressure. It was inspiring to connect with brilliant peers, entrepreneurs, and industry experts who are just as passionate about building impactful solutions. ?? A huge shoutout to my amazing teammates—Azra Bano, Krisha Jhala, Kristina Grazhdani, Kavish A., Saarthak Shah and Nithik pandya—for their hard work, creativity, and relentless energy throughout this process. A special thanks to Anjo Therattil and Rut Mehta for giving us insightful feedback on our product and inspiring us to keep at it!

This past Saturday, I filmed the last Rutgers University home football game of the season. It's been an incredible experience and I can't wait to do it again next year. Until then, I'm happy to announce that I will now be covering Basketball games for Rutgers Cheer and Dance. Hi Linkedin! It’s been a minute since I last posted, but I wanted to share a quick update about an exciting experience. This past weekend, I had the amazing opportunity to participate in the 2024 TechStart Business Pitch Competition hosted by Road to Silicon V/Alley (RSVP) x Rutgers Entrepreneurial Society! ?? My team and I created RealFit—a social fitness app connecting people through shared workouts, gym-focused content, and a supportive community. Through this journey, I learned how to take an idea from concept to reality, refining it with research, strategy, and teamwork. The competition itself was an amazing experience for me, where I gained valuable lessons on crafting an effective pitch and thinking strategically under pressure whilst connecting with fellow students, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders. The feedback we received was both insightful and encouraging, pushing me to keep refining ideas and exploring new ways to create products that help people. A huge shoutout to my teammates, Azra Bano, Ian Joy, Kristina Grazhdani, Kavish A., Saarthak Shah, Nithik pandya for their collaboration and dedication throughout this experience.? This weekend, I had the most amazing experience participating in TechStart, a 3 day startup creation competition and I’m thrilled to share that our team won 1st place! ???? As my first ever hackathon, this event was transformative! From teambuilding and brainstorming to pitching our startup idea from scratch, I learned so much and had an amazing time collaborating with such a talented team: Sameera Hossain Nashita Alamgir Xutong （Catherine） Liu Johann Ramirez Vasistha Andey and Tommy Pham. Your creativity, hard work and passion has made this entire process very memorable! ?? I want to thank the Rutgers Entrepreneurial Society and the Road to Silicon Valley Program at the Rutgers Business School for organizing and supporting this incredible event! Your guidance and resources were instrumental in helping us succeed. ?? I would also like to thank National Science Foundation (NSF) Innovation Corps program in which me and 3 of our team members are currently fellows helping us learn and build entrepreneurial foundational knowledge that aided our win! ?? I recently had the chance to introduce some NYC tech icons, crack some jokes, and throw Rho merch to the crowd (sports arena style)! Andrew Yeung & Rho recently hosted the Seed Stage Summit in NYC. The day-long experience invited a curated group of founders and investors to learn from exited founders, unicorn builders, and resilient builders. Here are some standout takeaways of mine: ?? Russ Heddleston on Customer Discovery: 1. Embrace vulnerability to invite genuine, critical feedback. 2. Keep interactions informal and personal for honest insights. ?? iqram magdon-ismail's Ethos on Unscalable User Acquisition: 1. Even post-Venmo's 8-figure exit, Iqram still seeks opportunities to bring on new users. 2. He live-tested his new app, Jelly, with our audience and encouraged them to make content on it. ?? Rachel ten Brink and the YC Alum Panel on Building Resilience: 1. Her mantra, "Nothing is ever as good or as bad as it seems." 2. Building mental strength comes from surrounding yourself with the right founder communities. ?? Alexa von Tobel Shared How Inspired Capital ($900M AUM) Thinks About Scalability: 1. Companies built with shortcuts often face tough realities, "Build with scaffolding, not duct tape." 2.
