The #RTTC would like to feature another telementoring model - One-on-One Consultation. For RTTC, a one-on-one consultation is a video or phone conversation between a specialist and health care worker. A great example of this is from one of our learning partners, Stop HCV/HCC, based in South Texas. Their health care gap was focused on screening, treating, or preventing Hep C and hepatocellular Carcinoma. For this learning partner they created ad-hoc consultation sessions between local providers and hepatologists at an academic medical center to discuss cases and next steps in treatment. The RTTC worked with the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services to find ways to share wellness information to rural Montanans on various health topics. The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services started a podcast, "Talking Health in the 406," that features interviews with subject matter experts and stories across a wide range of health topics. The #RTTC would like to feature another telementoring model - Online Models and Curricula. For RTTC, Online Modules and Curricula include any self-paced learning via online modules and slides with or without audio. The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services reached out to the RTTC after receiving a request from the Montana Office of Rural Health and their affiliated AHEC, to assist with the creation of three online courses focusing on Asthma and Wildfire smoke for community health workers. The RTTC assisted them with creating these courses and connected them with the Texas South Central AHEC who developed three short educational videos on identifying asthma triggers and ways to help improve asthma outcomes. The #RTTC would like to feature another telementoring model - ECHO. ECHO stands for Extensions for Community Healthcare Outcomes and is a hub-and-spoke model using videoconference to share best practices through didactic presentations and multidisciplinary deidentified case-based learning. When our learning partner, Clinical Education Initiative (CEI) came to us wanting to expand their learning base beyond urban providers, RTTC helped assist their marketing and evaluation efforts to expand their ECHO series reach to rural providers.
