We had the incredible opportunity to work with Philadelphia Parks & Recreation to provide children in the Philadelphia community the chance to participate in a Flag Rugby Summer Camp. The camp sessions were led by a group of young women who were trained through a pilot coaching pathway program, the Philadelphia?Women's Rugby Leadership Initiative (PWRLI). Supported by volunteers from the Philadelphia rugby community, 36 campers participated in this week long flag rugby camp held at Fernhill Park in North Philadelphia. Few things compare to joy of sharing the sport of rugby with todays youth. Thank you to all parties who helped make this happen.
