Exciting news! Yesterday, Kaiser Permanente Northern California officially broke ground on a new state-of-the-art hospital in San Jose, aimed at providing the community with expanded access to both primary and specialty care services. This will be one of California's first all-electric hospitals, featuring environmentally friendly elements such as solar panels, electric vehicle charging stations, drought-tolerant landscaping, and low-emitting materials to enhance indoor air quality. The new hospital is planned to open in the fall of 2029 to serve over 200,000 Kaiser Permanente Northern California patients and members from the San Jose, Gilroy, Santa Cruz, and surrounding communities. With 300 private patient rooms, cutting-edge technology, pedestrian and bike-friendly pathways, a healing garden, and outdoor seating and dining areas, the new hospital will provide exceptional care along with wonderful amenities for our patients, members, and their families. The bocce courts are getting a revival right next to Stanford’s giant construction trailer, which includes other GCs, the entire Stanford construction team, design consultants, IORs, and subcontractors! ?? After years of being vacant, we’re bringing all the trade partners together for some friendly competition and collaboration. ??? Every Wednesday during lunch, teams made up of at least 2 companies will face off, creating a fun work environment and a chance to connect. ???? Plus, the smack talk is sure to bring out everyone’s competitive spirit!
