Join Women in STEM at Rutgers Camden for an empowering Networking Event, where we will celebrate connection, professional growth, and embracing femininity in science and technology! This event offers a fantastic lineup of activities designed to help you thrive in your career journey: Mock Interviews, Resume and LinkedIn Critiques, a Guest Speaker, Free Food, and Industry professionals including a data analyst, engineer, math professor, med student, and nurse who will answer your questions and provide valuable career insights! This event is considered an honors event and attendance also counts as extra credit for the Facts of Life course with Samantha Deal and the Introduction to Computer Organization course with Michael Palis. This is a perfect chance to build meaningful connections, learn new skills, and engage with women in STEM in a supportive environment. Don’t miss out!

Our Second General Body Meeting was fantastic! Attendees had the chance to meet our advisor, Jaime Flagg, MA, and dive into some spooky Halloween-themed statistics about women in STEM. Everyone enjoyed delicious baked goods for sale while watching a cozy fall TV special. A big thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the fun! Our collaboration with RUC STEM Olympiads for the STEM Challenge Games was fantastic! We had the opportunity to highlight the contributions of trailblazing women in STEM, including Mary Eliza Mahoney, Katherine Johnson, Chien-Shiung Wu, and more. Attendees enjoyed informative discussions, amazing food, and exciting activities – with prizes, including free henna tattoos! Yay! I remember I started a podcast 4 years ago to foster conversations about women in STEM as I saw a wide gap within my own classroom. ?? Because of this gap, women tend to undersell their capabilities in this broadly growing field. ? I cannot wait to contribute in every way possible. ?? I am absolutely thrilled to share what I have been working on in these past few months! This Fall semester, I have fulfilled my commitment to transforming the future of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics at my university, Rutgers Camden. I am now the proud Founder and President of the very first Women in STEM association across all three Rutgers campuses. This is an achievement that took a great amount of effort to accomplish. I could not be more thankful for the rest of the executive board, consisting of Diya Kithani, Leyna Nguyen, Emma Bogdan, and Krupa Patel for working tirelessly to foster the success of our organization.
