Congratulations to the USS Richard M. McCool Jr. (LPD 29) crew on the historic ship’s commissioning. ? The Raytheon-built SPY-6 family of radars are projected to be deployed on 60+ U.S. Navy ships over the next 10 years to defend against air, surface, and ballistic threats, and is the most tested, most advanced radar technology in production today. Our employees played a key role in the ship’s commissioning journey including spending a week out at sea, testing various capabilities onboard the LPD 29, the second U.S. Navy ship to deploy SPY-6(V) radar with dozens more to come. This milestone marked a shift for SPY-6 from factory to integration into the U.S. Navy fleet.

Collins Aerospace recently partnered with the US Army’s 1st Multi-Domain Task Force to test how fixed site operations in austere environments could transition into mobile command and control capability. “Making the transition from fixed site to mobile operations must be seamless for the operators,” said Elaine Felicita Bitonti, vice president and general manager for Collins’ Connected Battlespace and Emerging Capabilities. “This requires testing, iterating and refining that capability at the operational edge – ensuring combatants can operate in all conditions.” Learn more: https://rtxcorp.co/3XuvpPj
