**PRESS RELEASE** Resilience, diversity, opportunity and dooms day planning were the key messages from RTI Cables Australia Cable Landing Diversity webinar. Over 100 participants from across the globe joined RTI Cables, NEXTDC, Titan Telecoms and Sunshine Coast Council to review the capabilities of the existing subsea cable landing in Maroochydore (JGA-S) and explore future benefits. A core message was the necessity of building resilience into Digital Infrastructure Solutions for customers, with the JGA-S landing in NEXTDC SC1 on Sunshine Coast the only geographically diverse cable option outside of Sydney in place today. Recognising that Australia’s cable landing diversity is in early stages when compared to geographies’ overseas, the focus and current planning is firmly centered on multiple new cable systems and new cable landings over the next 5 to 10 years, enabling Australia to be considered on par with leading regions. “63% of all AU cables are concentrated in Sydney,” presented David Zimmer, Acting CEO of RTI Cables. He continued, “RTI Cables allows direct connectivity to emerging markets – Queensland (5.5M pop.), Brisbane (2.7M pop.)” .... to be continued. To read the full article refer to the attached document or visit https://lnkd.in/g5ErvyNe for a recording of the webinar. Thanks again to David Zimmer, Jeffrey D. Van Zetten, Nic Tippelt, Greg Laverty and Dave Pearson for an informative session that has been incredibly well received. Webinar registrants should check their emails for the full summary, slide pack and recording.
