New Standards Now Available!   The latest versions of DO-236E and DO-283C are now in our store, providing updates for Required Navigation Performance (RNP) systems.   • DO-236E sets forth Minimum Aviation System Performance Standards (MASPS) for RNP operations, ensuring alignment with International Civil Aviation Organization PBN standards. It provides guidance for airspace and operational procedure development, enabling more precise and efficient navigation. • DO-283C establishes Minimum Operational Performance Standards (MOPS) for airborne area navigation equipment in RNP environments. It defines system characteristics and functional requirements to support designers, manufacturers, installers, and users.   As SC-227 continues its work, future updates are already in progress to enhance RNP capabilities and support Performance-Based Navigation (PBN) operations. RTCA is grateful for all of our Special Committee participants who are advancing aviation safety standards. Last week, several committees met to continue their vital work: 📝 SC-231 (Washington, DC): Finalized their report on the Terrain Awareness Warning System (TAWS) and reviewed revisions to their Terms of Reference (ToR). 📍 SC-244 with WG-129 (Washington, DC): Began work on the Take-off Performance Monitoring System’s MOPS following the approval of their new ToR in December. 🌍 SC-239 (Brussels, EUROCONTROL): Focused on updating their ToR and advancing the Radar Altimeter MOPS. 🏢 SC-228 (Washington, DC): Approved documents for the MOPS related to Air-to-Air Radar and Detect and Avoid Systems, bringing them closer to publication in March. #RTCA #Aviation #Standards
