Our Climb Ready – Wind Technician Program is an intensive, hands-on course designed to equip you with the essential skills for a successful career in the wind industry. Here’s an overview of what you can expect: Key Certifications and Credentials: Climb Ready Certificate of Completion (70 Credit Hours) GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) Certificates, including: Working at Heights First Aid (including CPR/AED) Manual Handling Fire Awareness OSHA 10-hour Certificate Technical Training in mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and bolt tightening, ensuring you're prepared for various operational scenarios. NFPA 70E Low Voltage Qualified Certificate – this is critical for safety in handling electrical systems in wind turbines. These certifications are not just industry standards but are highly valued by employers, increasing your employment opportunities immediately after the program. ? Course Content: The course covers essential wind career technical skills like: Mechanical systems, including hand tool use, gearbox, yaw systems, and lubrication systems Electrical systems, including schematics, multimeter use, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training Hydraulic systems, including pumps, actuators, and safety protocols ? Hands-on Experience: Over the course of two weeks, you will gain practical, on-site experience in areas such as: Climbing and rescue techniques Bolt tensioning Working with real wind turbine components in our facilities Access to trainers with deep industry experience, ready to guide and mentor you. ?
