As construction progresses on the new Wecker Hall for the US Air Force Academy Association of Graduates and the US Air Force Academy Foundation, a group of our emerging professionals had the opportunity to visit the site. Led by Construction Administrator Rick, they observed the ongoing work and gained valuable insights into the project.?

Sometimes, you just have to stop and smell the roses, or in this case, visit a famous troll. In a busy week, RTA team members took the opportunity to make a short detour to visit the Breckenridge Troll. ? #RTALife

Our team had a great time at the 27th Annual Downtown Partnership Breakfast celebrating our city center on Friday. We enjoyed hearing the speakers share achievements and what’s coming next for our city, including Palmer High School Student Body President Connor Strange, who spoke about the Palmer High School transformation. AdAmAn Alley received international recognition! Last week, the project received another award when it was recognized with an Award of Excellence for Public Space Management and Operations from the International Downtown Association (IDA). Each year, IDA recognizes outstanding projects that improve cities worldwide; the awards recognize projects that impact its city and the people who live, work, and play in the urban center. Wecker Hall has topped out! This traditional milestone celebrates the placing of the final beam, completing the building's structural framing. The new headquarters for the US Air Force Academy Association of Graduates and US Air Force Academy Foundation, Wecker Hall and Yost Plaza is located just west of Doolittle Hall. The building and plaza are designed to reflect the Air Force Academy's Modernist style while aiming for net-zero energy to ensure a forward-looking, sustainable future. RTA has welcomed three new team members! Ali, Lauren, and Spencer all recently joined the team as Emerging Professionals. Ali joins the RTA healthcare team with five years of experience in the industry. Originally from Saudi Arabia, he completed his degree at the University of Colorado Denver and recently moved to Colorado Springs. Lauren and Spencer both interned at RTA last year while still in school and have now returned as full-time staff members. Lauren completed her Master of Architecture Degree at the University of Kansas and has joined our healthcare team. Spencer received his Master of Architecture Degree from Kansas State University and is part of our education team. ? Welcome and welcome back! ? #RTAlife

We are thrilled to say that construction for Clear Creek School District’s Carlson Elementary School is complete! A ribbon cutting last Monday celebrated the completion of this transformative renovation that relocated the existing Carlson Elementary School into the former High School/Middle School building. It is exciting to see new life brought to this landmark building in the Idaho Springs Community.?The project features flexible, collaborative 21st-century learning spaces that align with Expeditionary Learning Principles. Eagle Ridge Academy is officially complete and open in time for the start of the school year! Last Friday our team gathered with Eagle Ridge Academy staff, students, and the community for the ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the project’s completion. The new addition includes a new administration area with a secure vestibule to improve school safety and security. Renovation to the existing spaces created breakout spaces and commons areas that support 21st Century Learning.
