Meet Cordlan Maszk, EIT! Cord is an invaluable member of our civil engineering team out of the San Juan Capistrano office. Check out one of our most iconic projects from the past 50 years, Pismo Beach Pier Plaza! We are so proud to have worked alongside the City of Pismo Beach to modernize the space first worked on by RRM Design Group in 1986 when designing the pier.?RRM later designed the pedestrian promenades along with plaza entry enhancements. The most recent improvements completely transformed the Pier Plaza by replacing asphalt parking with people-centric spaces, including a children’s play area, seating, new restrooms, a dedicated airstream section of the Pier for local businesses and restaurants, and broad terraced seating for people-watching that also provides access to the beach.?The space also features an iconic 8-foot tall Pismo Beach monument with internal lighting that has become a must-see selfie spot! #RRM50 #multidisciplinedesign?
