California—responsible for 80% of the world’s almond production—is likely to face major?declines in almond production area?due to water supply issues. In light of this reduction, new regions may emerge as potential growth zones. In southeast Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, improved weather conditions?are making the area increasingly viable for almond farming. While groundwater resources appear to be fully allocated, opportunity remains --?intense rainfall may generate runoff that’s currently going uncaptured. By?capturing and managing this runoff in a way that first, does not take away from people and the environment, we can create a?sustainable water source?for almond cultivation while also supporting local water availability in Nogales. Our?RRG NBS Water and Data tools?can provide the insights needed to?navigate these shifts, supporting resilient and sustainable production strategies. #RegenerativeAgriculture #GroundwaterManagement #SustainableWaterSolutions #NatureBasedSolutions #Agribusiness #ClimateFinance

The?People's?Pension’s recent?£28 billion reallocation?to Amundi and Invesco underscores a growing shift towards ESG-integrated asset management. This strategic move prioritizes?climate-focused equities (£20B)?and?net-zero-aligned fixed income (£8B), reinforcing the role of?pension?funds in sustainable finance. We see this as a critical step in aligning capital allocation with long-term environmental and social resilience. As financial institutions increasingly integrate ESG factors, the challenge remains:?how do we ensure these commitments translate into tangible, measurable impact? https://lnkd.in/dzDRfqNU

RRG Nature Based Solutions Water & Data Intelligence As climate change threatens avocado viability in Mexico—particularly in lower elevations, where rising temperatures may affect fruit quality—higher-altitude regions could become new production hotspots. Higher-elevation areas are likely to see more viable climate conditions into the future, creating growth opportunities and shifting of production, as long as this transition can be done without damaging protected landscapes, native forests, and regional communities. With global prices expected to rise, these shifts present both risks and opportunities. Our?RRG NBS Agricultural Intelligence Suite?helps you develop a concrete, tailored strategy to navigate these changes. We analyze climate impacts, identify emerging growth zones, and design resilient, economically viable supply chain solutions. Here is an example of how avocado operations can adapt: #NatureBasedSolutions #RegenerativeAgriculture #ImpactInvesting #AgTech #ClimateAdaptation #NaturalCapital #RegenerativeAgriculture #AgriBusiness #GIS
