Advancing teacher learning to support equitable outcomes for all students
关于我们
We know that when teachers engage in equitable classroom practices, students benefit. But we don't know enough about how to support all teachers to learn these practices. RPPL's Mission RPPL is a collective of PL practitioners, researchers, educators, and funders committed to advancing educational equity for every student, including students who are Black, Latine, Indigenous, AAPI, Multilingual Learners, students with disabilities, and students experiencing poverty. Together, we study teacher and educator learning to identify, share, and enact PL that improves teachers’ instructional practices and students’ classroom experiences, well-being, and academic growth. RPPL's Vision We envision a world where all students and educators are valued, supported, engaged, and thriving in equitable, rigorous, and joyful learning environments that prepare them to be successful lifelong learners.

Our #MLL student population is expanding, and that’s something to celebrate! Being multilingual is an important asset. It was powerful to hear from this insightful panel of education leaders at the RPPL (Research Partnership for Professional Learning) convening today as they discussed strengths and weaknesses of existing ELA HQIM in terms of MLLs' s learning experiences. Great perspectives from Leading Educators, TNTP, UnboundEd, ReadWorks, City Teaching Alliance, Annenberg Institute at Brown University.

Great first day of learning and connection at the annual RPPL (Research Partnership for Professional Learning) convening in DC. I enjoyed the district conversation between Boston, Montgomery County and Baltimore City district leaders. Each is wrestling with the challenges of providing high quality, research backed professional learning in districts with 5k - 14k adult learners. So much time, energy and effort is spent on logistics and planning that large districts struggle to implement strategies at scale and measure the impact of their professional learning on student outcomes. RPPL is just starting to support these district's with their research questions. Excited to learn alongside these district leaders as each research partnership grows and expands in subsequent years. Karina R., Malika Ali and I are excited to be here representing Throughline Learning as a RPPL research grant recipient. If you're attending #RPPL2024 be sure to check out our poster today. There were also some great snacks yesterday, but Malika Ali clearly needed a bigger plate! ??
