RoyOMartin participated in the Students Exploring Career Opportunities (SECO) event held Wednesday and Thursday at the Randolph Riverfront Center in Alexandria. Thousands of tenth graders from schools throughout central Louisiana attended the expo where they could visit and interact with various organizations to see what it’s like working in different career fields. Company representatives spoke to students about manufacturing wood products and how they are used in construction and helped them build miniature log cabins. The event was presented by The Orchard Foundation and The Rapides Foundation. #SECO2024 #RoyOMartinCareers

In November 2014, the first truckload of timbers rolled out of RoyOMartin-Plywood’s new solid wood timbers mill in Chopin, Louisiana. This facility, an extension of the existing plywood plant’s log-merchandiser department, manufactures landscape, 4x4, 5x5, and 6x6 timbers, and boards in various lengths. Yesterday, the company celebrated 10 years of making quality solid wood timbers. Congratulations to everyone who helped make this milestone happen!

This video will give you a sneak peek of our recent grand opening celebration of the newly expanded mill at our Texas subsidiary, Corrigan OSB, L.L.C. The ceremony drew more than 200 attendees, including company partners, community leaders, and Texas Governor Greg Abbott. Following a tour of the new facility, Governor Abbott touted the booming Texas economy and discussed the housing market. “We are proud that Texas is home to a booming manufacturing sector,” Governor Abbott said. “Corrigan OSB’s expanded manufacturing facility will provide needed, high-quality building materials to Texas’ growing economy. Thanks to our manufacturing sector, ‘Made in Texas’ has never been a bigger brand.” The second facility significantly increases the mill’s size and production capacity(approximately 43%) annually and provides a total of 300 jobs at the mill. https://lnkd.in/gpQYRC6a
