My name is Crystal Hoover. I'm a senior accounts payable clerk at our home office in Alexandria, Louisiana. I've been with RoyOMartin for 13 years. Before RoyOMartin, I was an assistant branch manager for a major bank in Alexandria. I had to work extra hours, which included most Saturdays. "Banker's hours" is actually a big myth.? I didn't see my career growing. I wanted a job that would allow me to have more consistent hours and build my career. A good friend told me about RoyOMartin, and I decided to give it a shot. At RoyOMartin, I still work Monday through Friday, but I have flexibility if something comes up with my children. We have a strong team, and we look out for each other. Having the weekend free now allows me to spend time with my family. We are at the baseball park a lot! I love my job at RoyOMartin. I'm consistently growing, and I know my work benefits the whole organization.

Today, RoyOMartin’s plywood and timbers manufacturing plant in Chopin, Louisiana, marks its twenty-ninth anniversary of operations. Construction began in August 1994 on the Natchitoches Parish facility, which continues to be one of the largest of its kind in North America. Its first pressload of southern yellow pine plywood panels was produced on March 8, 1996. In the past 29 years, employment has grown from approximately 300 to more than 750, leading to a substantial economic impact on the region. The 24/7 operation manufactures a variety of SmartCore? branded plywood panels, as well as timbers, boards, and specialty products – all sold both nationally and internationally. ?? My name is Valerie Zangla. I am a Sr. Associate Accountant at our corporate office in Alexandria, Louisiana. I've been with RoyOMartin for 23 years. Before working for RoyOMartin, I did administrative and accounting work at a local hospital and completed my ABA degree. At that time, I knew a few successful RoyOMartin team members who loved their jobs and had beautiful things to say about the company. So, when a job opening was presented to me, and the chance to interview became available, I knew it was an opportunity I could not pass up. I felt very welcomed throughout the interview process, and I was very appreciative of the offer to start. Accepting the offer was the right move for me and the career change I had been looking for. It has indeed been a lifelong change. I have been given opportunities within RoyOMartin to learn and take on new tasks along with fantastic team members' knowledge and strong work ethic. My name is Scott Townsend. I am the Director of OSB Manufacturing, and I've been with RoyOMartin for 11 years. I was working at another large manufacturing facility in central Louisiana. I knew they would ask me to move across the country soon. I wanted to stay here and heard that RoyOMartin was a company with solid values. So, I applied when I saw a position that fit my skill set. I've got a diverse set of professional experiences that have prepared me for my role. I'm able to interact well with many different people throughout the organization. One of my strengths is connecting with people. I love working with a team to solve problems, and we have a phenomenal team here at Oakdale. My two core values are respect and responsibility. I show respect by listening and collaborating. I show responsibility by being willing to hold our team accountable to do our best daily.
