I’m happy to share that I started a new position as a Researcher in the UMN Center for Applied Research & Educational Improvement (CAREI) at the University of Minnesota! I am excited to work on applied research projects to help our clients use data and feedback to continuously improve what they do!

The most important attribute about a consultant is their ability to ... Listen! Consultants must listen to their clients to make sure they are both talking about (and trying to solve) the same problem. Consultants need to understand what the client has tried, hasn't tried, and would be willing to try. They need to listen to learn potential obstacles or stakeholders' concerns. Consultants also need to listen to what the employees are saying throughout the process. Many times, the thing you are trying to fix is an obstacle for the employees, but by the time you hear about it through leadership, you have already played telephone up the ranks. Make sure you know the sentiment amongst employees! One of the best ways to do this, is to build in authentic opportunities throughout the work to get feedback from employees and leaders. Ultimately, it is their organization, and any change you try to implement is not going to stick unless they are comfortable and willing to make that change! #EmployeeExperience #Consulting #IOPsych #RoyesAnalytics

The purpose of the Board is to plan and execute educational programming for the members to help them stay up to date on employee selection/testing news, processes, and best practices!
