I would like to thank all who joined us for our Private Equity Boardroom breakfast event this morning. Wonderful to have Rowe Global's Denver Partners in town and expand these events from Denver to Dallas. Thank You - Mike Silverman and Brad Wallace for joining Ken Philbrick and myself on the stage this morning for a robust discussion on the value, use and evolution of Board Members and Operating Partners within the Private Equity world.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL STARTS TOMORROW !!! WOOHOOO!! For anyone who does not know me -- I am a SMU Alum and die hard fan! I truly am committed to SMU in every way. Tomorrow - SATURDAY AUGUST 24th starts the College Football season and the SMU MUSTANGS start their season vs Nevada!! This is the start of SMU's first year in the ACC and begins a new chapter at SMU that has been long awaited!! PONY UP - GO MUSTANGS and I am so excited for the return of college football!!!

I should have posted this last Sunday - but it has taken a few days to recover!! A quick thank you to all who made it out the the 11th Annual ROWE GLOBAL RANCH PARTY!!!! Best one yet I believe!!!! I hope more of our clients, friends, family and relationships make it 2025!!! Silt, Colorado and "Hot Tub Country" -- always hard to beat on the last Saturday in July every year!!!!

I respect I am a few days past "Fathers Day" but I had to share this picture and a couple thoughts. This passed weekend, I was given the gift of attending the George Strait concert at Kyle Field at Texas A&AM. (one of our closest family friends was kind enough to take me and my kids to the show - so special) I am sure most of have seen the news that this concert set a single night concert record for the 110,905 in attendance. All I can say is it was simply a world class concert, event, gathering, etc. But what made this even more special for me was I was there with two of my three children, both now young adults starting their post college years. It would have been totally perfect if I had all three of my kids there but my oldest chose to work over the weekend, as he is interning, while completing his MBA at SMU, at a private equity firm. Truly missed having him - but so great to see him focusing on his career above anything else. This time with my two kids at this amazing event has been constantly on my mind since. It is moments such as these that we make life memories! Making memories with our family / friends - make all we do daily worth it!! I admit, I have attended more than a few George Strait shows -- but to be in the middle of over 100K people, all happy, singing, enjoying the moment and having two of my kids there, experiencing this all with me was as special as any moment in my life!! We laughed, we sang, we sweated in the Texas heat and we met people sitting around us that were all just as happy in this moment! We spend our days working as hard as we can to succeed in life, to live up to expectations, to solve our client's needs, to achieve the next goal -- and sometimes we need to recognize that just being with the people you care about, having fun, is the greatest gift in life! Had to share these thoughts and this moment. I can easily state it was a world class Father's Day weekend!! Spend time with those you love, make memories, sing like no one can hear you, and be thankful for these times -- they are fleeting! Happy belated Father's Day to all -- !!

TRUE FRIENDSHIP -- IS THE GREATEST TREASURE IN LIFE!! As I received this picture this morning from my Daughter, on a trip celebrating her recent college graduation. I respect this trip is yet another example of how blessed I have been, to be able to give the gift of a trip like this to my daughter. BUT. - I had an even greater realization of the greatest blessings in our lives - TRUE FRIENDSHIP. The women in the middle of these three beautiful Texas women, is the wife of one of my best and life long friends since my days at SMU. Her daughter (on the left) and my daughter (on the right) have been best friends since they could crawl. She was able to meet up with our two daughters for the last two days of their trip to Europe. A veteran global traveler, they met, she showed them things from her experience they would have never found on their own and made their time even more valuable and special. Friendship such as this is beyond special. We live in challenging times, an globe covered in turmoil, political unease, tragic weather and higher costs of living. YET - FRIENDSHIP - TRUE FRIENDSHIP is free, available to all and makes our lives, communities, families, professions, etc. extraordinary. Having people you can count on no matter what, having people who share in the good and bad times with you, having people you can be assured are there for you, if nothing more than just to listen and visit. I have been beyond blessed with friendship in my life -- brothers in arms from my youth, college, career and adult life. Friends that have always been there for me - Anywhere / Anytime! I just want to thank the friends in my life - personal friends, family friends, business friends and colleagues, this is the ultimate Treasurer in life. I would not be anything without you all --- and it is appreciated, recognized and THE GREATEST BLESSING OF MY LIFE.

I was honored to attend an event earlier this week, where Talmage Boston was interviewed on his most recent book -- "How the Best Did It" -- Leadership Lessons From Our Top Presidents. Talmage is an amazing business leader, historian, lawyer and proven author - with a true passion for history. So always a treat to hear him. I felt the need to post about this for a couple of reasons. The book is amazing - so always glad to share when I find a great read. The topic of Leadership and Leadership Principles/Abilities has been central my entire 33+ years in retained executive search. The perspectives shared on these 8 great Presidents and their success as Leaders are applicable to the leadership demands of every aspect of our professional and personal lives. These 8 Presidents, ranging from the start of our country to modern times, provide a great example of how great leaders truly make a difference -- in business, in politics, in our communities, in our homes. Rowe Global was honored to co-host a breakfast event this morning with Susser Bank, discussing the economic outlook for 2024. It is always a blessing to host a gathering at our home here at Old Parkland in Dallas, Texas. Sam Susser, Chairman, and CEO of Susser Bank, and Robert Kaplan, Former President, and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, provided commentary and insight on the status of the banking sector and the overall economic trajectory of the US as we enter 2024. I would like to thank all who attended, and especially Sam and Rob, for their time, participation, and informed perspectives.
