Excited to share that Rowbot received a Phase I SBIR grant from USDA's National Institute for Food and Agriculture (NIFA). This support will enable the development and testing of a new type of fully-automated chamber for measuring the flux of greenhouse gases. The goal is to collect samples frequently while also making it cheap to collect samples in many locations across and among crop fields. This will support verification of carbon smart farming practices. https://lnkd.in/gAfb9b5g

Rowbot is redefining what’s possible for farmers by using robotics. Our first machine is a small, self-driving, multi-use platform that travels between rows of corn, removing height constraints imposed by a rapidly growing crop. Our Rowbots work in teams to apply nitrogen fertilizer in sync with corn needs, and seed cover crops into tall corn. Our machines serve as a great platform to collect valuable data, to inform both current and future work.
