Proximity, efficiency, and convenience – that’s what Rotella’s achieves with our new Bread & Bun Facility located at 15640 Sunburst Drive in Gretna, NE. It is positioned directly south of our Rotella's Cold Storage Facility. This gives us quick and easy access to our distribution. Stay tuned, as the new facility is on track to open in late 2025.?

“The greatest asset we have is our people. When I started, so many of our employees had 30-40 years experience – people who had been loyal and knew their jobs, people who cared and were proud of what they did. I had so much strength behind me with our Rotella’s Bakery family employees.” – Louis Rotella III

For nearly two decades, John Rotella had been searching for a panel truck identical to his grandfather's 1948 delivery vehicle, used at the family bakery in the late 1940s. Just before Christmas 2024, his luck changed. Jimmy Cerone, a longtime employee and car enthusiast, discovered a lead on a driver-ready panel truck in early December. Recognizing the potential, Cerone immediately informed John. This turned out to be the perfect find, arriving at the ideal time. The Rotella family planned to surprise their father with this special gift on Christmas Day, and there was just enough time to have authentic lettering applied to the truck before the holiday. The lettering meticulously replicated the original design on Louis Sr.'s truck, and the vehicle itself was an exact match: the same year, make, and model his "papa" had driven 66 years prior. The surprise was executed flawlessly. Lou Jr. first unwrapped a small 1/32 scale model of the truck, painted to mirror the real thing. Next, he received a set of keys. Finally, they led him to the garage, where the real truck awaited. His surprise was evident and heartwarming. The family cherished this special holiday moment, a time to reflect on the legacy of Louis Rotella Sr.
