Harvest Against Hunger

This week, we bid farewell to our AmeriCorps members Emily, Hallie, and Mika. Emily served as the Gleaning and Communications VISTA at the Making A Difference Foundation (THEMADF SEATTLE), where she focused on recruitment, volunteer communication, and creating social media graphics. Hallie worked as the Development and Communications VISTA at City Fruit, managing promotional materials, developing communications plans, and creating a brand style guide along with a fruit sales system. Mika served as the Community Food System VISTA at Blue Mountain Action Council, assisting with food purchasing for the food bank, fostering new vendor partnerships, and organizing volunteer efforts. Thank you for your dedication, impact, and #gettingthingsdone. As they move on to new endeavors, we wish them all the best and are excited to see how they will continue to make a difference. Rachel has played a key role in the creation and development of the Growing for Good program, which connects local farmers with hunger relief agencies, providing fresh produce to those in need while supporting small-scale farmers.
