July has been a busy month for the Rotary Club of Salt Lake City. We had the pleasure of hosting three great presenters Ginette Bott of the Utah Food Bank James Wissler of the One Utah Health Collaborative Kris Swanson, Rotary District Peace Chair Each presenter who joins us provides the club with a unique perspective and informs us about the collaborative working happening in Utah. Rotary Club of Salt Lake City is committed to engaging in the work of our community and developing opportunities for learning and engagement in alignment of our Rotary International mission and vision. In June the Rotary of Salt Lake City celebrated with a turning point in The Salt Lake County Youth Services Milestone Living Program (MLP) at the ribbon cutting of the new facility. Helping to end the cycle of homelessness and dependency for young adults aging out of the foster system. To become self-sufficient through access to safe housing, stable employment and connections to ongoing support and resources. Great meeting today as we celebrated the Transition in Leadership and recognized the hard work of the Rotary of Salt Lake City club board, members and committees. Congratulations and thanks to President, Paul Stringham for his leadership during his term 2023/2024. On Friday June 14, the Rotary of Salt Lake City joined with Mayor Jenny Wilson to celebrate the grand opening of the Transitional Housing Project that has been an initiative of the Rotary Club of Salt Lake City. The Summit Award was established in 2020. Its purpose is to recognize long-time members of Club 24 who demonstrate the Rotary motto “service above self” and have made significant contributions to both the Club and our community.
