Our Fisk University #Rotaract Club lead the way as we welcomed Fisk's 18th President Dr. Agenia W. Clark to the Rotary Club of Nashville podium. Dr. Clark shared her full circle story as she told the story of Fisk University's storied history and exciting future. Rotaract is the college or young professional version of #Rotary. We currently host Rotaract Clubs at Fisk University and with outstanding young leaders in the community through Rotaract of Nashville. More to come soon!

Service Above Self story: Over 30 Rotarians and friends gathered at Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee to pack food packs to kick off our BackPacks service project. Each month during the school year, Rotarians pack 1,225 food packs to be discretely placed in the backpacks of kids facing food insecurity over the weekends. It's a fun, fast-paced way to make a big impact on students in our community. Bonus, it's also a great way to get to know each other. #serviceaboveself #peopleofaction #Rotary #Nashville

The Rotary Club of Nashville meeting was especially orange today as President Randy Boyd took the stage. Boyd shared how the growth of The University of Tennessee now spans the state with five unique campuses. On Sunday, August 11, Rotary members attended the Habitat for Humanity ReStore of Greater Nashville home dedication ceremony to celebrate the newest Habitat homeowners. The Rotary Club of Nashville builds two homes each year alongside a future homeowner. This year, we got to celebrate Latasha as she and her two children completed the process to purchase their first home. Brian Taylor, Clark Spoden, Lauren Lane Payne and Olivia Billingsley Leow were in attendance as we presented Latasha with a $500 Wal-Mart gift card as a housewarming gift from all of us at Nashville Rotary.?
