????LIVE UPDATE ????? NEXT STOP, GUATEMALA ???? Today, our club finished packing bags with supplies for our Guatemala trip! We are traveling with over 2,200 pounds of supplies for our humanitarian aid mission. In partnership with other Rotary Clubs, we are traveling to donate supplies to schools and medical clinics to improve health services and promote preventive care in the Chitzubil and Campur areas. ???????? We will be flying out in about an hour, and are hard at work to ensure a successful trip! ???? Today, we put the final touches of paint and finished installing our library to benefit Lemoore families and promote childhood reading. ?? Our first books are for children of all ages and babies, with books in both English and Spanish! ?? ???? UPDATE PREPARING FOR GUATEMALA PART II ?????? Today, our club continued packing bags with supplies for our upcoming Guatemala trip! We finished packing 11 new bags, bringing our total to 44, representing over 880 bottles of children’s and adult vitamins (approximately 2,200 pounds!). In partnership with other Rotary Clubs, we are traveling to donate supplies to schools and medical clinics to improve health services and promote preventive care in the Chitzubil and Campur areas. ???????? We will be flying out Saturday, February 22, and are hard at work to ensure a successful trip! ???? Part of our mission is to increase literacy in Lemoore, and by providing free books to children and students, we promote and encourage a love for reading, creating life-long benefits. APPLY TODAY: Kings County Youth in County Government Day!!! Kings County is looking for 60 local High School students interested in learning more about county government. The annual Kings County Youth in County Government Day will take place on March 18, 2025 and will provide students with a first-hand experience job shadowing local government officials. The Kings County Youth in County Government Day will include a luncheon sponsored by both Rotary Clubs of Hanford (Hanford Noon and Hanford Sunset), and Lemoore Rotary and feature students assuming the roles of various government officials, spending a portion of the day job-shadowing their counterparts, and enjoying a special guest speaker. To be considered and participate, interested Kings County students must complete an application approved and submitted by their High School Administrative Office by Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at noon. ??
