关于我们
WELCOME TO ROSWELL ROTARY NANCY ALTERMAN, PRESIDENT 2024-25 Rotary is an international organization with over 1.2 million members For over 70 years, we've proudly served our community with diverse members dedicated to our motto: "Service Above Self." Our theme for 2024-25 is "Energize Roswell Through the Magic of Rotary," and we are people of action, committed to community projects that focus on vocational education, seniors, veterans, and youth. We invite you to learn more about us and join our cause. Together, we can make a lasting impact. Our signature event is the Aubrey Greenway Golf and the Hagan Cup Tennis Tournaments. These tournaments serve as our main fundraiser and engage our 240 members in a one day event that includes a full day of golf, a tennis tournament, an after party, and silent/live auctions. The event typically raises over $150,000. Proceeds fund an annual Community Impact Project as well as provides grants to various charities during our Rotary year; helping organizations large and small fulfill their charitable missions. Join us this Thursday for a special guest Dr. Ben Arthur. Roswell Area Park ? Noon ? 3/20/25 Dr. Benjamin Arthur is a research scientist at the forefront of one of the most exciting discoveries of our times: the value of stem cells in medicinal treatment, prevention, and therapeutics. He is a doctor who studied and worked at venerable institutions such as Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD; The Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN; NYU in New York (Graduate studies in Applied Maths) The California Institute of Technology in Pasadena; and the University of Zurich in Switzerland, where he attained his doctoral degrees in molecular genetics and behavioral science. Throughout his career the focus has been on health science research. After participating in a unique cloning project that revealed stem cells presented a promising pathway to natural Therapy, Dr. Arthur knew that his real future was not in traditional medicine, deemed as very limited in its efficacy and ridden with complications of severe adverse side-effects and burdensome regulations and high costs as a result of governmental regulatory agencies being in the pocket the Big Pharmaceutical Companies.
