This past weekend, more than 1,400 fundraisers came together at Buffalo RiverWorks for the 5th annual IceCycle, presented by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York and West Herr Automotive Group. Together, we raised over $735,000 for cancer research and patient care programs. Thank you to the community for your support, whether this was your very first year with us or you've been here since 2021. We could not have done this without you. ??

Kate Kaming has joined our team as the Vice President of Development and Senior Executive Director for Grateful Patient Philanthropy. Kaming has years of development experience with more than 11 years specifically in the cancer sphere. She is a recognized national leader in advancement efforts in the cancer field and most recently served as the senior director of cancer development at Northwell Health in New Hyde Park, New York overseeing cancer institute fundraising at nine centers in Northwell’s health system. Kaming currently serves on the National Association of Cancer Center Development Offices (NACCDO) Board of Directors, is the co-chair of member service, has led the programming committee for NACCDO’s national conference as well as formerly chairing the mentorship program which grew significantly under her leadership. This week we celebrated the naming of the New Era Cap Foundation Elevate Salon at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. ???? ?? The New Era Cap Foundation Elevate Salon is a warm, welcoming space for all patients experiencing hair loss from their cancer treatment. Kimberly, a current patient at Roswell Park, shared her story and wonderful experience with the salon, and expressed how important resources like this are for patients. With New Era's generous $1 million gift, these services will continue for years to come. We are proud to have New Era Cap Foundation as advocates and partners in the fight against cancer!

Thank you to our amazing partners at Walgreens for raising $13,824.26 to support the Courage of Carly Fund through their in-store campaign in 2024! We are grateful to the many Buffalo-area Walgreens customers, whose generosity will benefit pediatric programs and cancer care at Roswell Park.
