Progress is moving along on one of our projects. Our incredible project team completed two major hurdles in the last two weeks. The first week we were able to perform the startup of our case conveyor. We tested our accumulation logic, gates, and traffic control at the merges. This week we performed the reconfiguration of one of the production lines. Here is a little before and after in one small area. More to come....

I have designed many DC/Warehouse AGV Systems and the challenges that always would come up is introducing the product into the system and staging the product for shipping or leaving the system. I have done floor positions with painted boxes and guides, I have done powered conveyor, and gravity flow racking. They each have pros and cons. I was introduced to a product by Mat Corcoran with Euroroll GmbH that I think will give AGV suppliers the benefits of powered conveyor (single drop/pick with no back pressure at the pick/drop) with the cost effectiveness of gravity flow rack. As we know most space savings in a warehouse is vertical so when I combine Mat's product with my buddy Charles Sears' products at AR Racking | Storage Solutions things really get efficient for space. One week down for our installation. As with every project, we had our share of challenges. I love installations because when issues come up it requires you to think quickly and make sound decisions fast. Nothing like a little pressure to get the blood pumping. I work with an amazing customer and project staff so it makes it really easy. This week we placed and anchored all of our case conveyor. Next up is to tackle some details and get power and control devices installed.
