Job Title: Associate Manager Product Development and Production (On Site)? Location: New York, NY Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Associate Manager of Product Development and Production to assist in overseeing the entire product development and production process, working with both international and domestic factories. This position is critical to ensuring products meet design intent, quality standards, and production timelines. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, take ownership of the process, and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and vendor management. Key Responsibilities: Product Development Oversight: Assist in managing the entire product development lifecycle, from initial concept to final production, ensuring seamless execution of all processes across both international and domestic factories. Calendar Management: Collaborate with the Director to build and maintain the annual production and development calendar, ensuring key milestones are clearly defined. Proactively track and call out upcoming deadlines to keep teams aligned with project timelines and ensure adherence to the calendar. Vendor Communication: Serve as the primary point of day to day contact for international and domestic vendors, ensuring clear communication and resolving any issues related to design, construction, or production timelines, raising issues where necessary.? Production Management: Track production progress, ensuring that all timelines are met for both domestic and international production runs. Address and resolve any issues that may arise during the process. In-House Sample Room Coordination: Collaborate with the in-house sample room to oversee sample and prototype development, ensuring alignment with design and quality standards. Material Sourcing and Procurement: Help manage sourcing and procurement of fabrics, trims, and other materials required for product development and production. Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet company standards for quality, fit, and construction, and provide final approval before large-scale production. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in product development or production management within women’s apparel.? Experience managing both international and domestic production processes. Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrications, trims, and techniques. Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, or other relevant software. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred Experience: Experience working with fashion brands. Familiarity with PLM software, Apparel Magic experience is a plus. Experience in creating tech packs for overseas manufacturers.
