For too many of our guests, education and employment opportunities are out of reach due to cost, language or technology barriers. We are committed to providing them with critical steppingstones to help them reach these opportunities. One way we help our guests reach their goals is providing them access to our Employment Specialist, who last year alone, worked with 304 women, helping them with resumes, job training programs and job searches.

关于我们
In Massachusetts, 1 in 10 residents live in poverty. More than 15,000 people are homeless on any given day. And a stunning 1 in 3 adults are considered food insecure. Rosie’s Place addresses these critical needs by providing comprehensive, compassionate, immediate and expert support to every woman who seeks our help. The mission of Rosie’s Place is to provide a safe and nurturing environment to help poor and homeless women to maintain their dignity, seek opportunity and find security in their lives. Rosie's Place relies solely on the generosity of our individual, foundation and corporate supporters. We do not accept city, state or federal funding so that we can maintain our independence.

Did you know that 93% of individuals living in poverty have unmet dental needs? Rosie’s Place partners with the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine to provide our guests with free dental screenings in our Wellness Center every month. Together, we’re providing our guests with not just dental care, but improving their overall health—and hopefully bringing them some smiles, too!

Rosie’s Place joined our coalition partners at Massachusetts Immigrant & Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA) at the Statehouse today for the 29th Annual Immigrants Day. Advocates from across the Commonwealth gathered to recognize and celebrate the many amazing social, economic and cultural contributions immigrants make to Boston and Massachusetts, and to meet with legislators to advocate for the Safe Communities Act, the Immigrant Legal Defense Act, Dignity Not Deportations, and other key legislation impacting immigrants. Over one-third of Boston residents speak a language other than English at home, and almost 16% of residents need support in accessing services provided in English. Our Advocates provide women with support in their own language—from English to Haitian Creole to Mandarin—ensuring that no details of the answers they need are lost in translation.

Our guests are celebrating a sweet Pi(e) Day, thanks to the Omni Parker House and a delivery of 314 Boston Cream Pies to mark the day. Our gratitude is endless, just like the digits of pi.

At Rosie’s Place, our help is unwavering and unconditional. Yesterday, on International Women’s Day, you showed us your support is exactly the same. Thank you for helping us meet our guests’ needs with dignity and kindness. There is still time to join us and show women in need they matter. Make a gift today at www.rosiesplace.org/IWD

Five years ago, we shared Shamika’s story with our community. Then, she was a young woman still finding her way after a series of traumatic setbacks left her homeless and brought her to Rosie’s Place. Today, on a new career path and in a new home to accommodate her larger family—it is remarkable how far Shamika has come in such a short period of time! Will you make a gift and help us make a difference for women just like Shamika? It is your friendship that allows us to be a beacon, a sanctuary. As more women are counting on us, can we count on you? Make a gift today at www.rosiesplace.org/IWD
