From our recipe development studio today: Functional Nougat Bonbons with Rose and Pistachio These are for the times when you need to support yourself with something sweet and at the same time stay with a clear conscience about your body and diet. We call them functional sweets, because in addition they have the functional benefits of the rose for digestion and immune system. In this recipe, we turn the dried Bulgarian rose blossom from organic farming into flour, and in this form it enters the bonbons mixture. Applied research conducted at the Institute of Life Sciences and the Graduate School of Infection Control Sciences at Kitasato University in Japan examined the immunomodulatory potential of a hot water extract from the rose flower of Bulgarian rose damascena. The team, in which a Bulgarian representative from the Department of Organic Chemistry at the University of Food Technologies in Plovdiv also participated, confirmed the presence of powerful immunomodulating polysaccharides that show modulation activity of the intestinal immune system. ??
