?? Support the Roseville Police Department: Rescue Vehicle Fundraiser?? The Roseville Police Foundation is hoping to raise $180,000 for an armored rescue vehicle that will protect officers, first responders, and civilians during high-risk incidents like active shooters and dangerous rescues. Tragic events, including the 2022 active shooter incident in Roseville where over 200 rounds were fired in a Roseville neighborhood and Officer Ryan Duxbury was seriously injured, have shown the urgent need for this life-saving resource. Unlike large SWAT vehicles that can take up to 45 minutes to arrive on-scene, this bullet-resistant Ford Transit van will be immediately deployed by patrol officers to ensure safer, faster rescues. Chief Erika Scheider emphasizes: ?? “This rescue vehicle is not just for Roseville—it will also be available to assist our surrounding communities in their times of need.” ?? How You Can Help ?? We've already secured half the funding—help us raise the remaining $90,000 by joining us for a fun, family-friendly impactful event on Saturday, April 12 at Smash Park Roseville! ?? Brunch Buffet with the Chief & Police staff (10 AM - 12 PM) ????????$35/adult | $20/kids (4-10) | FREE for ages 3 & under ?? Pickleball Tournament (12 PM - 2 PM) ?? $80/player | Teams of two | Double elimination rounds ?? Spingo (Spin + Bingo!) (11 AM - 1 PM) ?? 3 cards for $10 Join us to support this critical initiative while enjoying great food, fun games, and friendly competition! ?? Can’t attend? You can still help! ?? ?? ?? Office Prank or Birthday Surprise? ?? ?? When Officer Kevin Johnson, our School Resource Officer at Roseville Area Middle School, walked into his office last week, he found everything—and we mean everything—wrapped in festive wrapping paper! His computer, keyboard, phone, mouse, mouse pad, chairs, desk, lamps, and even the picture frames… all carefully covered with no clues left behind. But thanks to some top-tier investigative work, we uncovered photo evidence of the “suspects” (looking at you, assistant principals! ??). No fingerprints, but plenty of good-natured fun to celebrate a special person! Officer Johnson, or "KJ" as he's known around school, is more than just an SRO—he’s a trusted mentor, a dedicated partner to school staff, and a champion for students and their families. His relational approach and collaborative spirit make a huge impact every day. Join us in wishing Officer Johnson a very happy birthday!

Partnering with Roseville Area Schools for Student Safety Last week our Police Explorer Advisors had the opportunity to visit health classes at Roseville Area High School to discuss the critical impacts of alcohol and drug use, as well as the importance of safe driving. During the sessions, students learned about: -The dangers of Driving While Impaired (DWI) -How substances like alcohol and drugs impair balance, motor coordination, and decision-making -Eye-opening statistics and real-life risks associated with impaired driving Students also got hands-on experience using special impairment goggles that simulate the effects of intoxication. They even tried the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFST) that officers use in the field to assess impairment. These conversations are an important step in empowering our young drivers to make safe and responsible choices. Thank you to Roseville Area High School for inviting us into the classroom to connect with students and help build a safer community together! #YouthEngagement #SafeDriving #ImpairedDrivingAwareness #CommunityPartnership

This week, we proudly hosted our annual Awards and Swearing-In Ceremony to recognize and celebrate some of the incredible people who make a big difference in this community. Community Heroes: We honored courageous citizens whose quick thinking and selflessness helped others in dangerous situations. Exceptional Teamwork: We celebrated the dedication and teamwork of our officers, who faced challenges and made great accomplishments in cases involving danger to themselves and others. A Legacy of Service: A heartfelt thank-you to Al Stasny and Bill Seefert, who have donated nearly 50 years of combined service to our police department and community. Al and Bill have tirelessly supported crime scenes, community events, and even rushed to assist during the 35W bridge collapse. Their leadership in recruiting and training volunteers has left a lasting impact, and their contributions of thousands of volunteer hours will never be forgotten. New Beginnings: We also swore in 6 new officers, celebrated the promotion of 2 new sergeants and welcomed our new commander to their roles. Special thanks to Mark Connolly for capturing wonderful moments from the event and to NineNorth for being there to record it.
