After years of dedication and countless memories, it’s time to celebrate an incredible Project Manager in our Tempe, Arizona office, Beverly G., as she embarks on a new adventure—retirement! As the end of December 2024 approaches, a beloved member, Beverly Groom, is gearing up for retirement. She started in the electrical industry in 1984 when she joined the U.S. Navy as an Electrician’s Mate and built an incredible career. In 1999, she joined IBEW-48 in Portland, Oregon, contributed to remarkable projects, and in 2008, joined Rosendin. As Beverly prepares to embrace new adventures like hitting the road with her camper, exploring nature, and volunteering with organizations like Feed the Children, she leaves a legacy of hard work and dedication. Meet Robert Kucera, Quality Control Manager at Rosendin in Texas, and this year’s annual Quality Champion! Bob has been with Rosendin for over ten years, championing quality every step of the way. After leaving the military, Bob joined the trades and has had a flourishing career. Regarding his transition period, Bob stated that working in the trades has been his best opportunity since leaving the military. His favorite part of working in the trades is interacting with the crews, foreman, clients, and project team. As a quality control manager, Bob is constantly on the front lines, seeing how we can ensure that we deliver our promise of #BuildingQuality. Reflecting on his role, Bob says, “Many people don't realize that just one person does not do quality. It's the estimators, the BIM department, prefab, the project management team, the foreman, the CEs, and the apprentices we have. It's a lot, and it's an overall team effort. When I look at quality, I look at it in its entirety. Nobody can do this whole job by themselves.” This outlook on quality makes him exceptional and deserving of this year’s Quality Champion award. Arizona Construction Career Days (AZCCD) is an annual event that took place this year on November 7th and 8th, where thousands of high school students, teachers, and career counselors can explore various careers in the construction industry.
