Her presentation explored the impacts of microplastic pollution on our ecosystems and how we can make changes that positively affect our oceans and environment. The Rose Villa Green Team was one of eight community Green Teams that participated in the Climate Resilience Summit for Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs), hosted at Rose Villa. This summit provided a platform for communities to unite in exploring the critical impacts of climate change in senior living. Vivek Shandas opened the event with a keynote presentation highlighting local climate initiatives and their effects. Rose Villa and Terwilliger Plaza CEOs then led a dynamic panel discussion on community sustainability. Attendees engaged in breakout sessions for collaborative discussions among Green Teams, while Steve Higgs from SAGE: Senior Advocates for Generational Equity facilitated a session focused on administrative strategies. The day was filled with learning, connection, and meaningful exchanges, and we are looking forward to continuing these conversations! Thanks to Dividat, our residents are enjoying a new technology in our wellness center. The Dividat Senso is a physical and cognitive exercise experience that connects the body and mind to promote wellbeing and improve quality of life. Our residents can enjoy opportunities to strengthen their mobility, balance, and reaction time, while having fun! Rose Villa residents Jan, Kathy, and Susan used their cognitive-motor skills today while testing out the different games available on the newly installed Interplay platform. We are excited to continue exploring how our residents will benefit from this new technology! #LifeatRoseVilla?
