As one of the nation’s leading long-term mental health facilities, Rose Hill Center in Holly, Michigan offers comprehensive psychiatric treatment and residential rehabilitation services for adults, 18 and over, on 400 peaceful and serene acres. Accreditation and Licensing The Joint Commission, an independent, non-profit organization that accredits and certifies more than 17,000 health care organizations and services in the United States, has awarded Rose Hill Center with a Gold Seal of Approval. Joint Commission accreditation and certification is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards. Rose Hill Center is also a member of the American Residential Treatment Association (ARTA) – an association dedicated to providing excellent residential care to adults with mental illnesses. As required by Michigan law, Rose Hill holds five Adult Foster Care Facility licenses issued by the state and staff members are licensed to provide specialized services.

Did you know bipolar disorder is a common mental health condition that affects an individual’s mood, energy and ability to function? At Rose Hill Center, treatment programs for bipolar disorder include medication management, cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychoeducation about the disorder. However, our dedicated staff also emphasizes socialization and assists patients in building and maintaining the skills they need to live independently.

At Rose Hill, residents are empowered to take an active role in their own recovery through our unique work programs– all of which provide real-world experience and practical life skills in a safe, supportive environment. For those who thrive in independent work, our housekeeping team offers an ideal environment. Here, residents are responsible for keeping the houses on campus clean. And unlike the team-oriented structure of our other work programs, housekeeping encourages individuals to complete a checklist of tasks on their own, which can help them develop a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to manage their time effectively. Bonus: Residents learn to take pride in seeing the direct results of their efforts. The ability to assess a situation and leave it better than they found it is an essential life skill that translates well into a variety of job settings.

As part of our work program, a team of residents works together to prepare all meals made at Rose Hill, which means the food served in our dining room and café brings both comfort and connection. Bonus: Each resident also meets with a dietitian to ensure their individual nutritional needs are met. 🍽️
