    Climate Action first!!

“Today, I cast my vote in support of climate action. No matter where people stand on this election or on Vice President Harris, I believe we have an opportunity to make meaningful strides in protecting our environment—especially in the wake of increasing natural disasters impacting communities at home and globally. While opinions on administrations may differ, I cannot ignore the importance of leadership that prioritizes climate solutions, in contrast to candidates who dismiss this urgent issue. I remember too well when crucial EPA regulations were dismantled, setting back our global responsibility. I’m committed to growing the next generation of Earth stewards and ensuring life on this planet remains as abundant as possible. Voting is one way we can protect our climate and future. I hope you’ll always make your voice heard for what matters most.” I love the work I get to do at Fruitful Community Foundation / Roots Down in continuing to pave the way on training, inspiring and brining tangible Climate solutions to Government and Institutions. I will keep doing this work no matter the election results and hope that everyone else feels this way. Lets keep moving the needle forward on Climate Action no matter what!! #ClimateAction #VoteForThePlanet #ProtectOurFuture #Sustainability #ClimateLeadership #EarthStewards #EnvironmentalJustice #ClimateCrisis #ActOnClimate #EcoVote #GreenFuture #ProtectTheEnvironment #ClimateChange

Last night was truly a moment to remember. For the third time, I had the honor of seeing one of my greatest heroes, Dr Jane Goodall speak. It’s been almost a year since we last saw each other while planting a tree at Legacy Park for the International Day of Peace, and here we were again at the Fox Theater, catching up backstage. Her ability to weave stories and share her vision for the future is beyond inspiring. What stands out every time is how youth are always around her, hanging on every word, smiling with hope in their eyes. It’s clear that she’s not just a voice for change but a true beacon of light for future generations. As we talked, I couldn’t help but tell her how surreal it feels, like lightning striking more than once to be able to visit with my hero again. She smiled and said, “I will not be compared to a strike of lightning. I’d rather be a ray of sunshine.” And she’s exactly that—at 90 years old, Dr. Jane Goodall is a ray of sunshine, deeply connected to our planet and leading the way in our fight against climate change. Her wisdom, humor, and grace inspire me every time, and I’m incredibly grateful to my friends at the The Jane Goodall Institute, Mary Ford, and Angelle Cooper for making last night so special. We are truly fortunate to live in a time where she continues to shine and share her brilliance. Such a brilliant night with my friends and family Sonia Tyler, Kristen Rosenthal PhD and Dr Elizabeth Falconi. ??? #Inspiration #ClimateAction #YouthLeadership #RayOfSunshine #JaneGoodall

?? CHECK OUT THIS ARTICLE!! https://lnkd.in/gJEVvf6N Excited to be part of the CompostNow pilot program in Avondale Estates! ?? As a long-time advocate for healthy soils, I’m thrilled to see this initiative taking root. D6 in DeKalb is starting our compost canvassing soon, so proud to be a part of Team Ted Terry to spread the word on this very important work! This all reminds me of my farming days when compost was LIFE. Diverting food waste from landfills isn’t just sustainable—it’s essential for capturing carbon and revitalizing our urban soils. Proud that Roots Down is involved and SO proud to help deliver many yards of compost that the City of Avondale Estates has produced to the DeKalb County libraries! Let’s keep growing!
