From the Rooftop Films Gala in 2018 to the Oscars stage seven years later, it’s been an honor for us to champion the work of our dear friend and alum, Sean Baker. As the writer, director, editor, and co-producer of ANORA, the multi-hyphenate filmmaker made history last night as the only person to win four Academy Awards for the same work in one evening (Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Film Editing)—with star Mikey Madison also taking home the gold for Best Actress! We couldn’t possibly be prouder, and already can’t wait to see where his fearless storytelling takes us next.
