It blows my mind that a roofing contractor can submit a proposal for a new roof while openly admitting they never took core cuts of the existing system. That’s not just an oversight—it’s a complete lack of responsibility. Without understanding what’s in place, there’s no way to provide an accurate scope of work. Guessing isn’t a strategy—unless the real goal is to secure the contract and hit the owner with additional costs later. If this is your strategy, you should go back to roofing houses and building fences. At RoofMaster Maintenance & Roofing, Inc., we do our due diligence, ensuring owners get real solutions based on facts, not assumptions. If your contractor isn’t taking the time to truly understand the complete scope, you should be asking why.

By Tuesday afternoon, temperatures will begin to drop fast, and wind chills are expected to dip below 0°F. Start planning, and remember to: -Leave cabinet doors open. This helps warm air circulate around pipes to prevent freezing. -Let faucets drip – A slow trickle can keep pipes from freezing and bursting. -Protect your pets – Bring them inside! If it’s too cold for you, it’s too cold for them. -Check on neighbors – Especially the elderly or those who may need assistance staying warm. -Bundle up – Layers are your best defense against the extreme cold. Stay safe and be proactive—Cold weather can be dangerous, but a little preparation goes a long way.

Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence." – Vince Lombardi This quote resonates deeply with how we approach our work. While perfection may always remain just out of reach, the pursuit of it drives us to train harder, learn continuously, and improve every day. Whether it’s fixing a leak that others can't find, embracing safety, or delivering exceptional service to our clients, we don’t just show up and hope for excellence — we practice for it, prepare for it, and train for it. Chasing perfection requires commitment, dedication, and the belief that every effort matters. The result? A culture where excellence becomes not just a goal but a standard. #Excellence #Growth #Teamwork #RoofingIndustry #Leadership #RoofMaster

We’re excited to share that our sheetmetal team is kicking off a brand new project. We are starting on our first ACM project; a Citadel Envelope 2000 Rain Screen project for a hospitality re-development in the heart of Downtown Dallas! These ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) panels are a fantastic way to “dress up” a building, providing a sleek, durable, and high-performing solution to the buildings visual and practical value. Although a first for our team we are proud to partner on projects like this, where quality materials and skilled craftsmanship come together to create a lasting impact. Stay tuned for updates as we bring this vision to life!

There’s something undeniably cool about this image—a Skytrak silhouetted against a glowing green backdrop. It’s a reminder that our teams start early and work late to deliver the expectations that have become expected of us. Phot credit- Scott Lockwood

In the construction and building maintenance industry, caulking and sealants often don’t get the respect they deserve. This is a specialized trade that demands years of experience, training, and an understanding of different types of materials and joints. When it’s time to replace building joint sealants, cutting corners can lead to costly consequences. Don’t trust contractors who: 1. Don’t fully remove old sealants and instead skim over them. 2. Lack the knowledge of critical principles, such as avoiding three-sided adhesion, which can limit the amount of movement a joint material can accept without compromise. Proper sealant application requires that old materials are cut out, surfaces are prepped correctly, and that joints are designed and sealed according to industry standards. These steps aren’t optional—they’re essential to ensuring long-term performance. Sealants are a critical part of a building’s envelope. Trust skilled professionals who know what they’re doing. After all, when done right, the smallest details can make the biggest difference. #RoofMasterdfw

Blocked/ clogged rooftop drainage outlets on commercial buildings can escalate from a maintenance concern to a life safety issue in no time? When drainage systems are blocked, water can quickly accumulate during heavy rain. This added weight puts immense stress on your building’s structure, potentially leading to dangerous situations like leaks, structural damage, or even catastrophic roof failure/collapse. A clogged drain doesn’t just impact the building—it risks the safety of the people inside. This is why regular inspections and proactive maintenance are critical to ensuring your drainage systems remain clear and functional. At RoofMaster, we’ve seen how simple, routine checks can prevent major incidents. Our team specializes in identifying these risks and taking immediate action to safeguard your building and its occupants. #CommercialRoofing #RoofMaintenance #BuildingSafety #RiskPrevention #RoofMasterDFW
