Kim's story began with an unexpected twist. After a seemingly healthy pregnancy, she developed HELLP syndrome, a severe pregnancy complication. At just 28 weeks, her baby, Henry, was born prematurely and spent 51 days in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). During this extremely stressful time, Kim and her husband found comfort and holistic support at the Ronald McDonald House in Providence. She felt so reassured that she was just steps away from where Henry was staying. She even could see Henry’s bedroom window from her room at Ronald McDonald House.
