The organization has its main house on East 73rd Street in Manhattan as well as family rooms at several NYC Health + Hospitals facilities, and Barreto has overseen efforts to expand to other hospital partners. Under the exceptional leadership of Odain Brissett, the Kings County Family Room has become a beacon of hope for families navigating the complexities of pediatric illness. Odain and his team have transformed this space into more than just a room; it's a home-away-from-home where families can feel supported and cared for during their most difficult times. From lodging assistance to meals and educational support, the Family Room offers comprehensive services tailored to meet the diverse needs of our families. This expansion beyond our House reflects RMH-NY's commitment to innovation and inclusivity. By bringing our services directly into the heart of the community, we ensure that every family, regardless of their circumstances, receives the comfort and support they deserve. The Kings County Family Room not only alleviates the logistical challenges families face but also fosters a sense of belonging and community—a vital aspect of healing and resilience.
