I’ve hired over 100 video editors for podcasts, e-commerce brands, agencies, etc., and for anyone looking to hire editors, here are 4 tips to help you find a top-tier, god-like editor who will not only boost your marketing performance but also save you a lot of time and energy: 1. Provide a video reference: In your job application, include a link to a video (or multiple videos) that showcases the quality or style of editing you’re seeking. This could be your own video, a competitor’s, or any example that reflects the standard you’re striving for. Ask candidates to share something they’ve edited that closely matches the reference. 2.
